Be prepared to spend thousands of dollars because most attorneys will not take this type of case on a contingency basis. If you win the lawsuit against the attacker then there is the problem of collecting the punitive damages awarded by the court from the attacker. There are many questions to ask when this course of action is taken. Can you identify the attacker? If not you may have the hire a cyber investigation firm. Then you are looking at spending more money.
